Changes around pension and retirement of ageing workforce become more contested than ever. Reduced hours and flexible schedules is also a change occurring in employment relationships.

What types of challenges do you expect will be most profoundAns: Yes, I think that increasing age diversity will create new challenges for managers. The most profound challenges for managers are the negative attitude and behaviors in the work place includes stereotyping and discrimination attitude about both young and older workers. Managers have a challenge of providing balanced motivation in the workplace because the motivation of younger workers is not likely to match with the motivation of older workers. Challenge of making a friendly environment in the workplace by minimizing the gap between young and older workers.
3. How can organizations cope with differences related to age discrimination in the workplaceAns: organizations need to provide support to older employees in the form of training and development, appraisal, personal development systems and by introducing technology more friendly to older people. The older people must be placed in the position in an organization which is best suited to their ability without stereotyping them. The organizations must provide facilities for managing health and well-being of older workers.
